CorkWest is the Pacific Northwest's only cork closure manufacturer. Located in the Port of Kennewick, we operate in a spacious facility with state-of-the-art cork treatment machinery. We receive select, hand-sorted cork from a single supply source. Corks are steam cleaned and peroxide washed, and then the peroxide is eliminated with a bisulphate treatment. Each small bale is rigorously tested, and data are provided for each individual bale being considered for your purchase.

Quality Control

CorkWest leads the industry in testing their corks with the newest ISO 22072 technology, giving you the opportunity to view TCA results to the hundredth of a nanogram. The process of steam cleaning our corks with a 10% ethanol solution allows us to achieve TCA results averaging less than 1 ng/L. Industry standards set forth have a threshold 300% higher than our current standards. We offer corroborative testing through ETS labs. Every 5000 cork bale that enters our facility has been tested 3 times by ISO 22072 technology and will be tested a fourth time, after having entered our facility, by ETS. In pursuance of our goal to Preserve your Passion, we test to ensure that your wine's flavor profile will only be preserved and not affected by choosing CorkWest natural cork closures.

Free Branding, No Setup Charges

CorkWest's art department handles all of the artwork processes for your corks in house. There are no associated setup charges for artwork in order for you to purchase branded corks. We need an ai or eps file of your log, and a ttf file of your font, if it has been created for you by a graphic artist. Customer Service is the most important part of our relationship, and we will make every effort to ensure that your brand fits the marketing vision of your winery. We offer you the option of branding your corks thermally, or with soy-based ink.
